Marvel Cinematic Universe: Ranking All The Endings From Worst To Best
11. Iron Man 2
Three words: Repulsor high five. Jon Favreus second and final stint helming a Marvel movie was a definite mess but it did have its moments. Unfortunately the final fight with Mickey Rourkes heavily accented Whiplash wasnt one of them. On paper, Tony and Rhodey rekindling their bromance just in time to suit up as Iron Man and War Machine to tackle a common threat should have been the stuff of fanboy dreams. Unfortunately the threat is a series of faceless drones lead by Whiplash in an entirely unnecessary suit of armour. Okay it was necessary in that it protected him against the good guys, but it was hardly imaginative, especially when half of Rhodeys weapons are shown not to work because Justin Hammer made them and not Tony. Oxymoronically the whole thing fizzles out with a bang. With the fighting limited to the Iron Men and Whiplash, the bird loving Russian looks to have our heroes beat, grabbing both of them around the neck with his electric whips. The solution? Firing two beams at each other in an eye rolling repulsor high five. Whiplash explodes at the epicentre of the laser fist-bump and the day is won by the power of brohood. Sigh.
