Marvel Phase 4: 10 Mutants Who Should Be MCU X-Men

9. Angel

Magma X Men
Marvel Comics

At least Storm got to partake in more than one X-Men story in the movies. Whereas pretty much all casual X-Men fans only know Angel - one of the founding members of the team - for a single story. Ironically, how he loses his powers.

Angel's powers are pretty self explanatory. He has large angelic wings that protrude from his back, giving him the ability to fly like a bird. As you can probably imagine, such powers are pretty easy to take away compared to other X-Men, as Angel swiftly finds out when he puts a bit too much trust in his dad.

For a founding member of the team, you don't see a whole lot from Angel. Sure we see him in the comics every now and then, but this guy needs a proper role in the movies. Sure, by all means keep the tragic betrayal that costs him his wings, but make sure to show how far this Icarus could fly before sending him crashing down to Earth.
