Marvel Phase 4: 7 New MCU Rumours You Need To Know
Nova AND The Thunderbolts?! Yes please.
It's a brave new world out there, Marvel fans and while it's tempting to worry about what comes next after the painful but exhilarating bandage removal that was Avengers: Endgame, there's a lot of promise to look forward to.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is just around the corner, bringing with it the keys to the Multiverse (unless Mysterio's alleged lies go a lot deeper than we thought initially) and then beyond that we have confirmed (and semi-confirmed) sequels, a prequel and entirely new properties as well. The actual shape of those projects is largely unknown though.
Sure, we have plot hints and character suggestions, but there's been so much focus on the end of the Infinity Saga that there's not really been the same kind of scrutiny. With all that now done, you can bet your bottom dollar that the floodgates will now open and there's already a fair few key rumours to run down...
7. The Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 Plot

We already know some things about the plot of Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3: Endgame confirms that Thor will be involved and there's a pretty strong hint in there that the search for Gamora will be too. On top of that, of course, there's the hangover from Vol 2, which saw Ayisha creating Adam Warlock to exact revenge on the team for their disrespect of her people.
And now there's even more detail for the plot thanks to Twitter Marvel leaker Roger Wardell, who adds new characters The High Evolutionary, Moondragon and Lylla to the mix:
“Rocket's creator is the High Evolutionary, Drax is in for a big surprise when he discovers his daughter is alive. Rocket also gets a love interest in the form of Lylla. Nebula and Star Lord will grow into closer friends.”
For anyone not in the know, Lylla is a sentient otter who was actually previously listed as one of Rocket's associates on his rap sheet in the first Guardians movie and Moondragon is Drax's daughter and an opportunity for Marvel to continue to introduce LGBTQ representation.
Meanwhile, The High Evolutionary has close ties in the comics to Adam Warlock - having given him his name and taken him in after he turns his back on his creators - so that would sort of fit.
