5. Avengers: Endgame (2019)

After 11 years, we finally got the white-hot-hyped pay-off to the Infinity Saga in the shape of Avengers: Endgame, which is a triumph of spectacle and emotional story-telling that manages to still have smaller moments for its key characters.

It's not perfect and there's some serious compromise on some of the characters (especially in terms of how much screen-time they get), but that's to be expected and it's not a bad compromise to accept when it gives us the room to explore the stories of Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow in more detail.

Even with the story issues (which it embraces as a side effect of its genre, to be honest) it is without a doubt the perfect way to end the Infinity Saga story and also the stories of Iron Man and Captain America. And every single complaint has a justification or an answer in how incredibly entertaining the whole thing is.
