Marvel's Loki TV Series: Everything We Know

5. ...And Will Be One Of The First Marvel Shows To Appear

The exact launch date of Disney Plus isn't the only question mark surrounding it: we also don't know what content will be available on day one. That being said, it would be safe to bet that a good chunk of Disney's film catalogue (Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, etc) will be there to watch from the get-go.

The release dates of the Marvel TV shows is another big question mark. With series based on Loki, Vision/Scarlet Witch, and Winter Soldier/Falcon confirmed to be in the works - and solo Lady Sif and Hawkeye shows rumoured - Disney has a lot of TV to spread out. Maybe they'll adopt the Netflix model of dropping two or three Marvel shows each year, but if that is the case, which will we see first?

Well, according to THR, Loki's series will be "one of the first series that Marvel Studios will be making for Disney’s streaming service". Granted, "making" first doesn't necessarily mean that the Loki series will launch first, but Disney will want to lead with their big guns, and Loki might be the biggest of the lot.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
