Marvel’s Spider-Man: 8 Characters The New Movies Need To Introduce

1. Black Cat

If the new Spidey film is going to be styled on classic American high school films, then Felicia Hardy€™s Black Cat is the much cooler, slightly older girl with a fondness for the socially awkward, fresh out of hero-school, Peter. Spider-Man goes it alone more often than not, but Felicia could be a valuable mentor to the impressionable young hero. The fact that she often embraces the wrong side of the law (much like a certain feline DC character) could create an interesting struggle for Peter before he defines who he is and what he stands for. Spidey isn€™t as immediately morally rigid as Batman, so to see Peter unwittingly helping Felicia commit crime and playing into J. Jonah Jameson€™s editorial narrative would really affect his life and reputation. The two are also frequently depicted as having some sort of romantic relationship, and since Black Cat is far more interested in Spider-Man than whoever is behind the mask it could form an interesting love triangle with Mary Jane in future films. Technically I should point out that Felicia appeared in Amazing Spider-Man 2, but I€™m still pretending most of that film didn€™t happen. Who would you like to see in the new Spider-Man series?
