Isaac Perlmutter's name may not be instantly familiar, but the camera shy executive is Marvel Entertainment's CEO, and was once the man Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had to report to. There are plenty of infamous stories about Ike out there, including him believing no one would notice when a Black actor was recast, and demanding that Feige produce an Inhumans movie.

Why? Well, angry that Fox was finding success with the X-Men movies, he wanted Marvel Comics to essentially replace mutants with Inhumans in order to hurt those blockbusters and give the rival studios fewer characters and stories to bring to the big screen and profit from.

Directives like that and Ike holding the purse strings - he was happy to let Robert Downey Jr. go rather than pay him for Captain America: Civil War - eventually proved to be the straw that broke the camel's back, and Feige went directly to then Disney CEO Bob Iger and asked that Marvel Studios be made its own separate entity that report to him rather than Perlmutter.

Iger obliged, and Perlmutter now no longer has any input into the MCU.
