MCU: 10 Behind The Scenes Feuds Marvel Studios Doesn't Want You To Know
6. Marvel Studios Vs. 20th Century Fox
These behind the scenes feuds all had very different stakes, but a battle between rival studios is a conflict that can have serious, long-lasting ramifications for Hollywood. This was evident when it came to the handful of Marvel characters they shared, with Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch two of the most hard to forget examples.
When Marvel Studios decided to introduce them in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fox rushed to include Quicksilver (and a very young Wanda) in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past. Thrown into the movie, in place of the Juggernaut, to break Magneto out of prison, all Fox seemed to care about what beating their competition to the punch and bringing their version of the character to the big screen first.
Little has been revealed about what happened behind the scenes, but it's thought that things got ugly as they both battled it out over who was allowed to use Quicksilver. Feige had tried playing nice in the past - offering to let them keep Daredevil in exchange for Galactus and the Silver Surfer - but when you throw Ike into the mix (and he was very involved at this time), it's no wonder it was all so unpleasant.
Marvel Studios had the last laugh, though, as the Disney/Fox merger means they now hold the rights to all the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters.
