5. Annihilus

As well as sounding like a sweet heavy metal band, Annihilus is the kind of planet-conquering villain who could be introduced as the reason for a cross-over between the Guardians of The Galaxy and another heroic team.

And James Gunn would definitely be a fan of that, given that he specifically named Annihilus as one of the two characters he would have liked to have used in the Guardians movies if rights weren't an issue. So his ears probably pricked up when news of the Fox/Disney deal happened.

In the comics, the superhumanly strong Annihilus holds dominion over the Negative Zone, and he and his army of super-powered minions are capable of interdimensional travel, which they attempted in the comic event that saw him fight the Guardians who stood in the way of his hellish armada. That would be a hell of a story to make the cosmic MCU all the more interesting.
