MCU: 10 British Villains In Marvel's Cinematic Universe - Ranked Worst To Best
3. Ben Kingsley - Trevor Slattery
For a film which confronts the idea of men hiding behind masks, it should have been no surprise that Ben Kingsley's role in Iron Man 3 wasn't all it appeared to be. Merely the puppet rather than the master, he may not have fully understood the part he played, but it's not as though he didn't make an impact.
In spite of his bumbling ineptitude, Trevor Slattery's chilling villainy comes thanks to his propaganda; videos which could so easily have gone over the top with malicious intent were instead given a nonchalant treatment. Extremis' misfires weren't actually the terrorist attacks he took credit for, but such loss of life is still treated as little more than an afterthought.
Although his full range of comedy may have been out of place for the film as a whole, he did return to showcase the exact nature of Slattery's lovable innocence in the One-Shot, All Hail the King. It might be hard to imagine a prisoner more concerned about his choccy milk than spilling his meal tray over another inmate, but even if Slattery isn't a villain anywhere near the MCU's most deadly or even threatening, he has little competition when it comes to being memorable.
