MCU: 10 Characters That Could Make Up The Illuminati
6. Reed Richards
When Disney acquired Fox and brought the rights to some of the biggest Marvel characters back home, there were two properties talked about more than any other. These were the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four.
Professor X may be appearing in the Multiverse of Madness, but the Fantastic Four have already got a confirmed MCU movie of their own in the works. This is likely to release some time in 2023 or 2024, but there is no guarantee that this will be their first appearance in the franchise. One of them could be introduced this year in the same way Peter Parker and T’Challa featured in Civil War before their own solo movies.
This could be Reed Richards, and as a long time member of the Illuminati in the comics, and one of the smartest men in the universe, it would almost be weird if he wasn’t a part of the team. Not only would this be his first MCU appearance, it would also signify the crossover between the Fantastic Four and the X-Men that never happened, and the fans would go nuts for it.
It’s unlikely that Miles Teller would be brought back for the role after the train wreck that was Fant4stic, while Ioan Gruffudd would be a nice nostalgic choice. However, this would be the time for the MCU to bring in their own version of Mr. Fantastic, and with any luck, this would be none other than John Krasinski.
