MCU: 10 Characters Who Could Lead The Avengers Against Kang The Conqueror

In a similar fashion to Loki, Scott Lang will have an intimate knowledge of Kang the Conqueror before any other superhero knows he exists. The villain is set to appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and is the sole reason this movie will kick off Phase Five.

Ant-Man himself has never had any real leadership skills. When he realised the Quantum Realm could help ultimately defeat Thanos, instead of taking control he took the idea to the likes of Captain America and Iron Man, and allowed them to lead the charge. This time could be different, however.

After the events of Endgame, there aren’t that many Avengers left. Tony and Nat are dead, Steve and Clint are retired, Thor, Carol, and the Guardians are off-world, arguably Scott is one of the most experienced Avengers left on Earth, and will have limited options to defer to.

After experiencing firsthand the terror that Kang has in store for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, it may well be up to Ant-Man to rally the Avengers and lead them into a battle many of them thought would never come. A battle bigger than Thanos.
