MCU: 10 Characters Who Could Lead The Avengers Against Kang The Conqueror

Though as part of the Avengers, Thor typically deferred to Tony Stark and Steve Rogers as his leaders, he is no stranger to leading the charge in battle himself. He has done it for thousands of years before either Iron Man or Cap were even born, and there is no reason to think he is done now.

There aren’t many members of the original Avengers left. Of the six, two are dead, two are retired, while Bruce Banner is a far cry from what made him so valuable when not snapping his fingers. Of any of the team that assembled in 2012, the God of Thunder is in the strongest position to lead.

Though Taika Waititi seemingly did his best to ruin the Thor character and the franchise around him with Love and Thunder, the movie confirmed that Thor will return. This will obviously include some role in the battle against Kang the Conqueror, and he has every right to lead the fight.

Since he was first introduced into the MCU, Thor has learned a lot of lessons and discovered a fair amount of new powers. Would he even need to go for Kang's head if he could share his power with an entire team of heroes like with the children of Asgard?
