MCU: 10 Characters Who Will Definitely Survive Phase 3

After Eric Bana and Ed Norton both tried and (to varying degrees) failed, Mark Ruffalo has given us the definitive modern take on Bruce Banner/The Hulk. While he's yet to get his own solo movie - which would arguably provide the truest test of this Hulk's talents - he has been a key part of both Avengers films. He'll be back in the lineup for Infinity War and Avengers 4 too, along with a gladiatorial appearance in Thor: Ragnarok later this year.

Why He'll Survive

Even after Thor 3 and the next two Avengers movies, Ruffalo will still have one film left on his initial six-movie contract. That means Ruffalo will be back for at least one movie, though it could well be extended further.

There have been various rights issues over making a solo Hulk movie, but Marvel will surely be making one at some point. Even with two disappointing movies there's great demand for it, and Ruffalo deserves the chance after his great work so far. He's one of the original Avengers, and they can't all be killed off at once. With Steve Rogers likely to go and the fates of Thor and Tony Stark uncertain either way, Hulk makes for an obvious survivor. I mean, how do you even kill a Hulk?
