MCU: 10 Cosmic Villains For Phase 4

6. Vulcan

Marvel Magus
Marvel Comics

Vulcan, aka Gabriel Summers, is the brother of Cyclops and Havok of the X-Men and much like his brothers, his powers are energy-based. Vulcan is far more powerful than his brothers, however.

He was taken as an unborn infant by the mad Shi'ar Majestor D'Ken after the murder of his mother, and placed in an incubation device that accelerated his growth to adolescence. In the comics, he eventually gets his revenge and declares himself Emperor of the Shi'ar.

Vulcan would be a wonderful villain for the MCU. He would help bring in the X-men and immediately, credibly elevate their narrative to the universal scale the MCU currently operates on.

It would also allow Marvel to put the Shi'ar Empire and the characters that are important within it at the forefront of a cosmic cinematic story. Both the X-men and the Shi'ar are very historically important to the Marvel cosmos and Vulcan could be the platform they launch both on.
