MCU: 10 Fan Ideas Better Than What Marvel Have Planned

When it comes to Marvel's TV shows, references to the MCU have tended to emerge from one direction only - from the shows themselves. With the exception of Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders reprising their roles as Nick Fury and Maria Hill for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., those tangible links to the wider MCU have been few and far between, and non-existent in Marvel's cinematic efforts.

It's understandable why Marvel are hesitant to bridge the gap between their properties, especially since the MCU's actors are almost always busy working on other projects, but there's no denying the potential of having the MCU's biggest talents show up on the small-screen too. Charlie Cox, who plays the eponymous hero in Marvel's Daredevil, even came out and said he'd love to see Black Widow appear on the TV series itself (somewhat jokingly), owing to the characters' shared history in the comics.

While the desire to see such a thing happen might again emanate from one direction, Marvel would do well to further integrate their shared universe. Right now, they've given no such indication that anything like that will happen, and while Disney might be launching a Marvel series in a streaming service of their own later down the line, there's no reason to keep their properties divided - especially if they're meant to share the same world.
