5. Bucky's Backpack

It's not included in the movie in any way, but Sebastian Stan revealed a detail about Bucky that adds to the character in a subtle, but rather brilliant (and tragic) way. Throughout the film when he's not in his Winter Soldier costume, Bucky wears a backpack that's never mentioned.

Stan revealed, rather touchingly, that the backpack is filled with journals that Bucky has compiled with fragments of his memory as he sought to piece his life back together from the pieces he remembered.

In an extremely weird revelation, the audio commentary features the directors claiming that the look of Bucky’s apartment was inspired by the music video for DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What" - at least in terms of the lightning and the aesthetic...
