Guardians of the Galaxy's post-credits scene takes us into the Collector's museum, where we're greeted by a treasure trove of artefacts from the Marvel realm, but by far the biggest and most memorable is Howard the Duck.

Voiced by Seth Green, Howard is the kind of nod that you could only get away with in Guardians, given his less than glamorous on-screen history and general outsider status.

As Gunn told Empire, the character wasn't initially in the post-credits scene. It was filmed without him, and it wasn't until Gunn was in post-production that he and editor Fred Raskin had the idea to add Howard the Duck into the movie. It was so late that they had to design him the same day they had the idea in order to get it sent to the VFX studio in time. The movie was then released exactly 28 years after the Howard the Duck film.
