3. Robert Downey Jr Didn't Film The End
People get injured on movie sets all the time, unfortunately. Because of the strenuous requirements of action movies, that environment is even more perilous when it comes to putting stars in harm's way, but there always has to be balance in when the film-makers use stunt doubles and when they use the real actors for added realism.
That's when valuable people can get hurt though, which is precisely what happened to Robert Downey Jr when he injured his ankle and set the production of Iron Man 3 back while he recuperated.
But rather than losing all shooting potential, Shane Black's team used a CGI version of him, super-imposing his face using facial-capture filming onto a body double. The entire final scene includes this effects-made Frankenstein's monster, which is impressive since it's so convincing.
