The very start of a movie is supposed to ease you in and let you compose yourself for the inevitable escalation at the end of the first act. In particular, the opening credits should be a fairly easy ride that you don't have to pay much attention to. Not here though.

On top of the fact that we see a retelling of Banner's Hulk origin to retcon the one in Ang Lee's Hulk, there are some notable Easter Eggs in there.

For a start, the sequence uses the same X-ray shots of Banner's gamma irradiated skull that were used in the 1978 series. The credits also owe the The '(D)ANGER' clip to that show and Banner's green eyes are also a nod to Bill Bixby's version of the character.

Theres also a nod to Tony Stark as we see the blueprints for the sonic cannon that appears later in the film. They're credited to Stark Industries. Who else?!
