For the occasion of Thor's announcement in the MCU, Marvel offered a cinematic celebration by releasing a special set of variant covers all themed around classic film posters in time for the film's release.

Thor and his supporting cast of characters were reimagined as Hollywood icons like Harrison Ford, Sir Anthony Hopkins (very meta) and Jesse Eisenberg as covers dedicated to Titanic, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Modern Times, The Social Network and many more hit the shelves of comic book stores.
