MCU: 10 Marvel Movie Characters Who've Changed The Most

7. Nebula

In terms of personality, it's hard to say that Nebula is all that different from the venom-spitting side-kick to Thanos and then Ronan introduced in the first Guardians film even by the end of the sequel. She's still filled with rage thanks to Thanos' treatment of her and she's still not the most social of characters.

But what has changed the most is the audience's perception of her. She was a straight, unsympathetic villain and a parallel to her sister Gamora, right up until the sequel revealed that she was a victim not only of Thanos' violent abuses but also of Gamora's ignorance to her desire to have a normal sibling relationship.

With that revelation, Nebula has gone from villain to anti-hero, and while she's not a Guardian by the end of the sequel, she's definitely a sympathetic character and has grown hugely.

What Caused The Changes?

Thanos' abandonment of her (and possibly also the model for rebellion set by her sister) was the initial catalyst, but then her subsequent cathartic fight with Gamora and their belated reconciliation has full turned her attention to taking down her father. That was pretty much her counselling session.
