4. Loki
The first truly great villain of the MCU, Loki was - and is - immensely popular amongst fans. He stole the show in Thor, proved a formidable enough threat to bring the Avengers together, stole the show again in The Dark World, played a pivotal role in Ragnarok, and broke our hearts as he died trying to redeem himself in Infinity War.
As Loki's neck snapped, millions of fans wept tears of bitter sadness. Well, Marvel has heard those cries, and is set to give us that wily, unpredictable, nefarious Loki that fans first fell in love with. In Endgame, Loki escaped with the Tesseract as the 2012 portion of the time heist went off the rails. It's that Loki that will be at the center of the upcoming Disney+ series.
In the show, he looks to be going head-to-head with the Time Variance Authority, or TVA. Essentially, the group monitors activity across the infinite timelines of the Marvel multiverse, intervening where they see fit. This is a perfect fit for Loki, who relentlessly disrupts the established order at any given opportunity. What's better than meddling in our world? Meddling in EVERY world, in EVERY timeline.
