7. Hugo Weaving Wouldn't Do Something Like Red Skull Again - Captain America: The First Avenger

In theory, bringing in an actor with the sort of pedigree that Hugo Weaving undoubtedly possesses, what with his stellar work in the likes of The Matrix and The Lord of the Rings series being just two notable blockbuster masterclasses, was a bit of a no-brainer for Marvel Studios when the time came to cast Captain America's arch-nemesis.

However, once the dust had finally settled on the unmistakable star's outing as Red Skull in The First Avenger, it appeared Weaving was less than impressed by the entire filming experience. So much so that he would even go on to admit that he wasn't all that interested in donning the red make-up and going a few more rounds with Cap in the future, telling Collider back in 2012:

"It was good to do it and try it out, but to be honest, it’s not the sort of film I seek out and really am excited by."

And when the concept of appearing in Infinity War later down the road came about, Weaving would admit negotiations with Marvel were "impossible" before confessing:

"And I didn’t really wanna do it that much. But I would have done it,”
