Caught in the thick of one of the most emphatic gut-punches in superhero movie history as Infinity War reached its emotional conclusion, Anthony Mackie's Falcon found himself being dusted into non-existence.

Yet, while Captain America's best pal, along with a whole host of other notable MCU heroes, all literally biting the dust undoubtedly left viewers with their jaws slamming off the floor, the star himself still wasn't entirely satisfied with this demise.

Jokingly pitching how he'd have preferred to have kissed goodbye to the land of the living in this epic ensemble flick, the actor would tell BUILD Series:

"I wish I was running and like Scarlett Johansson was there and I jump on her and take a bullet and she cries and I'm laying there. And I say 'I did it for you' and she's like 'You were always my favourite.' And then you take the crane and you pan out and she passionately kisses me..."

But in all seriousness, Mackie didn't actually seem wholly onboard with his limp exit, also admitting:

"I wish I had died a better way than turning to dirt. I feel like everybody who has died had this cool death scene."
