MCU: 10 Supernatural Heroes Who Could Make Marvel Millions

8. Man-Thing

Blade Vs Wolverine
Marvel Comics

Fantasy casting: Alan Tudyk

Man-Thing is the unfortunate recipient of one of the worst comic book movies ever, only shielded from a Spirit/Batman & Robin/Superman Returns level of notoriety because it’s so unknown.

Releasing in 2005, it’s the last Marvel movie to have been released direct to TV. Debuting on SyFy, it completely ignores any nuance of the character to tell a schlocky monster of the week style story.

It’s not even any good at that, wedging a romantic plot line in there and for some reason dwelling on a scene where a redneck takes a crap in the forest. Bizarre.

The actual Man-Thing is a swamp monster created when Doctor Theodore Sallis crashes into wetlands while carrying the same super serum used to transform Captain America.

Though he is often the brainless monster the movie portrays him as, he’s prone to moments of clarity and lucidity, giving him a greater depth of personality than you’d expect from a creature called Man-Thing.

With Professor Hulk here to stay, Man-Thing can step into the big shoes left by classic Hulk.

Man-Thing requires an actor experienced in mocap, and with Benedict Cumberbatch and Andy Serkis already in the MCU, Alan Tudyk is an obvious choice.
