MCU: 10 Supernatural Heroes Who Could Make Marvel Millions
7. Hannibal King
Fantasy casting: Ryan Gosling
Hannibal King was one of Ryan Reynolds’ earliest roles, appearing in the third Blade movie. Eric Brooks, unsurprisingly, also makes the cut here, as one of Marvel’s most famous supernatural heroes.
King is less famous, unquestionably, but arguably a bit cooler and a more malleable character to fit into the terrarium which is the MCU. He initially debuted in The Tomb of Dracula comic, which tells you all you need to know about his hard boiled aesthetic and mentality.
His halted ageing, regenerative powers and superhuman strength sometimes see him labelled a knock off Wolverine, and while you couldn’t ever argue he was better, he does bring some extra things to the table.
Hannibal can transform himself into a werewolf and into mist, as well as possessing the ability to fly. It’s not just his these though, he comes with a unique power too - genre busting.
As a skilled detective and marksman, he gives the MCU a potential to go very noir and opt for a mystery angle.
Gosling has previously spoken about not wanting to be tied down to long comic book contracts, but when it comes to rugged supernatural detectives, there’s not many who’d be better.
