MCU: 10 Supernatural Heroes Who Could Make Marvel Millions

5. Brother Voodoo

Blade Vs Wolverine
Marvel Comics

Fantasy casting: Lakeith Stanfield

Rumours have begun circlingrecently that Brother Voodoo, along with another character featured later on this list, will make their debut in Doctor Strange 2. Twitter rumours aren’t always reliable, with Wolverine being in Endgame, the Soul Stone being in Wakanda and Ant-Man being in Thanos all spring to mind.

This one though could well prove to be legit, as it was started by Roger Wardell (@RogerWardell), who got large chunks of Endgame right.

There’s precedent for Brother Voodoo to arrive as well, with the groundwork laid in Doctor Strange 1. Voodoo’s brother, Daniel Drumm, was protector of the New York Sanctuary before Strange, and is murdered by Kaecilius.

His brother’s death also marks his birth as a hero in the comics, so the setup is there for a mystical, shaman vision in the movies too. Considering the wonderfully trippy visuals in the first Strange movie, this offers them a way to top it.

With his Haitian roots, he provides a vehicle for the MCU to explore Caribbean culture, just as Black Panther epitomised Africa.

Stanfield can have an otherworldly feel, most notably as the only good thing in Death Note. But he brings grit too, and seems a solid choice.
