MCU: 10 Things That Repeat WAY Too Much

3. Agencies Upon Agencies Upon Agencies

Genuine question for the world of MCU: What comes first, the acronym or the individual words?

The Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division does have a nice ring to it already, and you can definitely see yourself receiving an angry letter from them the one day you accidentally mix soft plastics in your recycling; but to shorten that down to S.H.I.E.L.D creates a whole new feel that can only exist in a world with black 4x4's and sexy suited adults.

Since S.H.I.E.L.D made their debut in the MCU, all bets have been off as every other agency and company within a two mile radius has trimmed and acronym-ised their name to a cool sounding (if not a little scary) title.

A slick agency with a neat logo isn't something to really balk at, and while all these agencies and have pretty much blended into one, when they exist in a world that has acknowledged the existence of Homeland Security, CIA and the FBI - what is the point of these additional agencies?

The MCU really needs to hit this on the head, and just have our heroes chatting away with legitimate government agencies. Otherwise, we're going to get more names like this:

S.T.R.I.K.E: Special Tactical Reserve for International Key Emergencies

S.W.O.R.D: Sentient Weapon Observation and Response Division

Get out of our F.A.C.E.S (Feelings And Calculation Explaining Skin) with these names.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
