MCU: 10 Things We Already Know Will Happen After Avengers: Infinity War

6. People Will Move On

Marvel has, for want of a better word, bottled it when it comes to killing off its big guns. Sure, the deaths of the likes of Quicksilver, Agent Coulson and Yondu have hit hard, but many of the Avengers and its main core have managed to fight enemy after enemy without ever really paying the ultimate price.

In Civil War, fans expected one of Cap or Iron Man to meet their end. But both men, as well as Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, have lived to fight another day. That is not to say, however, it will be the same this time around.

The second Infinity War trailer has three of its heroes looking in a really, really bad way. There’s Cap fully confronting Thanos, Iron Man being told he would be remembered and Thor having his head crushed by the Titan as his brother Loki watches on in anguish. There is no guarantee any of the trio will make it out of this one alive.

Marvel have already confirmed any deaths will be permanent, with Kevin Feige saying: “I mean, I could always list off the characters that we’ve killed in our movies that haven’t come back, but the big ones, which I know they’re looking at …? [Pause.] I would just say, yes. People need to be careful what they wish for.”

Sport and Film. I love them both. And I'm extremely lucky to write about two of my biggest passions in life. Most of the time, I'm at the Daily Express newspaper writing about football, tennis and F1. But, when I'm out of there, I let my imagination run wild and pen down my thoughts on the film series' I love. WhatCulture gives me the chance to write about the movie industry - an industry I really care about. And for that, I'm extremely grateful. And hope you, if you're reading this, enjoy what I think about stuff.
