MCU: 11 Characters Who Should Return Through The Multiverse

While Evan Peters' character in WandaVision did not turn out to be the X-Men universe's Peter Maximoff, having Fassbender's Magneto return through the multiverse or integrated into the main MCU reality would be a terrific fit.

This could lead to a number of different avenues to take the character, as he could become a major villain for the X-Men and the Avengers in the MCU. Alternatively, the MCU could explore his relationship with Wanda Maximoff and the deceased Pietro Maximoff, revealing the magnetic powered mutant as their actual father later down the line.

The advantage Fassbender's portrayal of the character would have over McKellen's version is that he could be better utilised as a longer serving antagonist, due to the ages of the respective actors. Fassbender was also arguably the best part of the rebooted X-Men trilogy, and the character's inclusion into the MCU could give him a chance to shine further.
