While Maguire has reportedly retired from acting, a chance to once again play one of the roles that made him so iconic could convince the actor to return to the silver screen.

The move would also allow Tom Holland's MCU Spider-Man the chance to have an older and battle weary mentor for the upcoming third MCU Spidey film, providing comparisons to the Miles Morales/Peter B. Parker relationship that worked really well in the Into the Spider-Verse flick.
