11. Banner & Black Widow's Romance Is Worse Than You Remember

When Age of Ultron first hit cinemas, one of its most complained-about elements was the rather forced romance between Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), which seemingly came out of nowhere "just because" and didn't feel remotely earned or telegraphed.

It's easy to forget just how steadfastly Joss Whedon doubled down on this romance, because while you probably remember Black Widow's ability to revert The Hulk back to Banner with a "lullaby", you may have forgotten the cringe-inducing moment where Banner falls into her cleavage during the initial Ultron (James Spader) attack.

And of course, there's the woefully awkward scene where Black Widow refers to herself as a "monster" in the same breath she announces she's sterile. Furthermore, during the movie's final battle, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) even tells her, "You and Banner better not be playing hide the zucchini", which when you consider that the Hulk's green and all, is just all sorts of wrong.
