4. The Severed Toe Is The MCU's Most WTF Moment

Perhaps the biggest laugh in the entire movie comes when Yondu and Rocket task Baby Groot with fetching Yondu's prototype fin in order to escape their confinement after the Ravager mutiny.

Among the many objects Groot mistakenly fetches instead of the fin is a severed human toe, made all the more disturbing when Yondu confirms that the ship doesn't have a fridge full of severed toes.

This moment alone feels like the perfect distillation of the anarchic, off-kilter spirit and tone of the Guardians movies, which separates them from the broader humour of more "mainstream" MCU fare.

There's perhaps no moment more dementedly hilarious than this in the entire franchise, and it still slays even when you know it's coming.
