4. It's Surprisingly Funny

Despite the fact that this is a film about international and corporate terrorism, betrayal and murder starring a charismatic but deeply flawed human with a broken moral compass who sells weapons to bad guys, Iron Man is just as funny as the later MCU movies.

This was where the MCU approach to comedy was born and even with an entirely different owner above the studio, it is very much possible to see the pillars upon which the MCU continues to be built upon.

But then again, Iron Man doesn't compromise on bloodiness. There's a lot more casual killing than the later movies, perhaps because this came out before Disney were on board.
