10. The Balance Is Quite Astonishing

Now that we know that Infinity War has seemingly millions of characters, several story threads and an obligation to seed a follow-up sequel that is essentially a second part, Civil War's achievements in balancing so many moving parts could go slightly overlooked. But it's definitely worth remembering how much cynicism there was at the idea that it could ever be balanced properly.

Most impressively, on top of there being so much story to get through - not only the Sokovian accords, but Tony's part, Bucky's past and Cap's all in one, the introduction of Black Panther, the exploration of power and control and the expansion of the Avengers teams - every major character gets a real moment.

This should never have worked, but the Russos pulled it off incredibly well, and that's what we should be taking confidently into Infinity War.
