14. Michelle Pfeiffer Is The Wasp - Ant-Man & The Wasp

After almost years of nothing besides the revelation of a title (and the fact that the Giant Man reveal from Civil War was initially supposed to happen in it), we've finally got some big news for Ant-Man & The Wasp. The biggest of all is that Janet Van Dyne has been cast, and rather than it being Sharon Stone as previously rumoured, she's being played by Michelle Pfeiffer.

Hopefully, this means we will see at least one Grease 2 easter egg in there.

The plight of Janet Van Dyne will no doubt be the major plot focus (aside from the villain situation threatening the world/Ant-Man), with Hank Pym obsessing over an attempt to rescue her from the Quantum Realm. Now that he knows it's possible to get back (after Scott Lang did precisely that in the last film), he'll definitely be looking for a way to get his beloved out.

Presumably, she will have aged, though perhaps not at the same rate as Pym (Pfeiffer is 59, Douglas is 72 and their age gap looks a lot bigger than it is), and if nothing else, this confirms that she's going to be making an appearance. Whether she'll live remains to be seen, but that would be a pretty cruel twist.
