10. Outriders Appear - Infinity War

In amongst all of the footage shown in the Infinity War sneak peek - which was also shown at D23 - it seems we actually got even more of a look at Thanos' team than previously assumed. He's not just bringing The Black Order to the fight - he's also got more minions in tow.

Back when the film was casting, there was mention of a group of extras being hired to play tall slim aliens, prompting an assumption that the Chitauri were returning. But it looks as though that assumption was slightly off-base: instead, we're actually going to see the MCU debut of the Outriders.

The creatures were glimpsed in the Wakandan set battle that also showed Bucky in full flight, and it seems likely that they'll function in a similar way to the comics: as scouts for Thanos before the Black Order are sent in. They're probably going to be his sniffer dogs, looking for traces of Infinity Stones.

When the Outrider returns to Thanos to explain that Hulk and Thor are off-planet, and that the Avengers are torn apart, it could speed up Thanos' journey and turn his attention to the poorly defended planet. That would certainly fit the brief.
