MCU: 15 Most Powerful Items In Marvel's Phase 3

Though it's not the only giant weapon capable of sending people across massive distances in space (see also, Gungnir), Hofund is one of the most important artefacts on Asgard and in the MCU. It is the imposing looking sword wielded by intergalactic bad-ass Heimdall, and doubles as the key to the Bifrost Bridge that joins the Nine Realms.

This function is actually its most important: the Bifrost is way too powerful to remain open at all times and has the capacity to destroy all Nine Realms, so obviously the item that is powerful to stem that power flow must be incredibly powerful too.

It also comes with other added perks: it can generate a shield perimeter around Asgard, and of course it's also a great bog flashy sword capable of chopping heads off.
