14. Michelle Pfeiffer And Christoph Waltz Could Appear In Ant-Man & The Wasp

Janet Van Dyne will appear in the Ant-Man sequel, and Michelle Pfeiffer is in early talks, while Christoph Waltz is wanted to play villain Elias Strickler.

Janet Van Dyne was always going to be a strong possibility for the Ant-Man sequel, given the Easter Egg at the end of the first movie that saw her confirmed as alive in the Quantum Realm. It was always just going to be a matter of time before she was cast.
Having Michelle Pfeiffer play Janet would be exceptional casting. No disrespect to long-time linked actor Catherine Zeta-Jones, but she's not really on the same level as her husband in terms of nostalgic casting, and Pfeiffer absolutely is. It would also be delightful to see her become the latest actor to play characters for both Marvel and DC.
The villain issue is a lot more intriguing: Elias Strickler doesn't appear in the comics, but he's described as a "mad scientist", which is exactly the sort of villain you'd expect for Ant-Man. Hopefully whatever he's developing involves the need for Scott Lang to grow into Giant Man.
