MCU: 5 Best & 5 Worst Villains So Far
2. Malekith
Let’s face it, Thor: The Dark World is nobody’s favourite MCU film. It’s probably not even in anyone's top 10…or 15. And that's because the villain Malekith is so, so bad. Through no fault of his own, Christopher Eccleston is not got given the chance to make a name for himself in the MCU and his character is so woeful nobody cares a jot.
Malekith is kinda’ cool in the sense that he brings a hell of a lot of destruction to Earth. But he’s just so forgettable, so uninspiring, you can forgive yourself for looking at this now and thinking ‘oh yeah, him’. Remembering one single piece of dialogue he says is a hard task, even if you’ve watched the movie recently. And his motive? Basically, the guy wants the earth to be in darkness. London, the setting of the film, is halfway there most of the time.
Malekith is probably the worst villain Marvel chiefs have given their audience so far. He barely has any dialogue with Thor, goddamit! Just like the film itself, Eccleston’s character is something best not to dwell on for too long.
