2. The Falcon & The Winter Soldier

While there may not be a Captain America movie on the upcoming MCU slate, The Falcon & The Winter Soldier is essentially a spin off of the franchise. As both of Steve Rogers' best friends and sidekicks team up, one of which will likely end the series as the new Captain America, this is surely one of the most logical places for the character to show up in the future.

Not to mention the fact that the titular duo are set to go up against both Zemo and Batroc, two of Cap's enemies from earlier in the franchise, it would almost be surprising if Chris Evans didn't make an appearance in the second of the MCU's Disney+ series.

As said before, Sam and Bucky are Steve's two best friends, and they aren't just going to forget about him now that he's an old man. One or both of them could certainly either seek his advice, or just catch up with their friend, in a similar way to how Steve himself went to visit Peggy in her care home when he woke up.

Alternatively, Steve could be the one to initiate his role in this series. Passing his famous shield on to Sam was something that meant a lot to Steve, and wasn't a decision he made lightly. He trusted his friend, and believed that he was the right man for the job. Surely then, he'll have something to say about his iconic weapon being put in the hands of John Walker rather than the man he chose himself.
