MCU: 5 Most Likely Roles For Captain America's Return

3. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Doctor Strange and Captain America have been two of the most important and influential characters in the entire MCU, but each have walked their own, very separate path. Throughout the Infinity Saga, apart from sharing the battlefield when the snapped heroes returned to fight Thanos, the two characters never interacted.

With Steve Rogers potentially making his return to the franchise in the near future, there's every chance that Kevin Feige and co could make up for this previously missed opportunity, and bring the two together as Doctor Strange explores the multiverse.

If the rumours are true that Wanda's role in the movie will be that of an antagonist, it wouldn't be the worst move for the Sorcerer Supreme to seek out her friend and mentor to try and reach her on an emotional level that he can't himself. If it turns out that the Scarlet Witch's powers exceed that of Strange, he will need to find another way to save her, and this would be perfect.

Alternatively, with so many timelines and realities to be explored, this could be the perfect chance to bring classic Cap back once more. While having Old Man Steve in the MCU would be an interesting dynamic, is there anyone that would say no to a (relatively) young Captain America coming back in a blaze of glory?
