12. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Bucky/The Winter Soldier
Phase 2 of the MCU might be considered the "Dark Times" for our heroes. They experience PTSD, loss and betrayal- and for Captain America, he comes to realise that everything he thought was true about the present day was in fact a lie.
It could be argued that HYDRA and Robert Redford's character are the central antagonists in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But given Bucky Barnes' overarching presence in the film, we're going to lump him in with the side of the bad guys on this occasion. And probably because his name is in the damn title.
The score alone when he walks on screen is enough to send chills down your spine, and given his quick and visceral fighting style, he's not just some muscle-bound henchman for Steve Rogers to struggle with.
He is an embodiment of the greater enemy Cap and the others face; he's unstoppable and unrelenting like a Terminator.
