MCU: Every Phase Three Post Credit Scene Ranked Worst To Best

The final entry on this list from Guardians Vol 2 is something that had been anticipated by fans of the comics ever since Infinity War was announced. A dejected and defeated Ayesha looks to her new weapon for hope of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy, and she will call him Adam.

This refers to Adam Warlock, one of the key characters in the Infinity Gauntlet comic arc, a character synonymous with the soul stone, and the main reason Thanos is defeated despite being in possession of all six infinity stones.

While it is a shame Warlock missed out on the fun of Infinity War and Endgame, by the time Guardians Volume 2 was released there was simply not enough time to integrate him into the story. Plus, Endgame already featured one new, ultra-powered character in Captain Marvel. Another would have been too much.

Instead we seemingly get to look forward to the evil side of Warlock, the Magus, first. Adam's alter ego is a villain of such proportions that Thanos actually had to team with the Avengers to stop him. If he is in fact the main antagonist of the Guardians' third outing, Marvel may well be onto another winner.
