MCU: Every Single Marvel Movie Post-Credits Scene Ranked Worst To Best
28. Iron Man 3 - The Therapist
Iron Man 3' s portrait of PTSD and trauma is actually very smart, despite the fact that it's all wrapped up in a humour-tinged action movie involving drunken, lecherous actors, exploding super-soldiers and an army of robot-drones. It's just a shame that Shane Black added a stinger that sort of took away from those messages.
In the scene, we see Tony Stark lying on a therapist's couch, revealing that the whole film was him talking about his experiences with Aldrich Killian, related in a therapy session. Only there's no therapist, there's only Bruce Banner and he's slept through most of the story anyway.
It's not much more than a gag, but it does make it look like Banner, a completely sympathetic character, has no concern for a character who is pretty much presented as a his best friend elsewhere in the franchise.
