MCU: Every Single Marvel Movie Post-Credits Scene Ranked Worst To Best
18. Thor - Loki's Deception
Though it's fundamentally a little let down by the fact that it lacks some logic, the post-credits scene on Thor did at least give us more Loki and teased the likelihood of his return, which was a bit bonus after watching his banishment.
What we effectively get is Nick Fury "recruiting" Erik Selvig (since he can't recruit Thor directly) to work on the Tesseract and uncover its secrets. It then turns out that Loki has actually possessed Selvig (somehow) and is listening in - presumably as a means to sell this information to Thanos in exchange for his support in attacking Earth.
It doesn't make sense, since Loki can only possess Selvig in The Avengers using the sceptre, but it's a nice little addition to the mythology of Loki all the same.
