MCU: Every Stan Lee Cameo Ranked From Worst To Best

The Cameo: In the aftermath of the Battle of New York, a number of civilian talking heads are seen, including Stan Lee, who says, "Superheroes in New York? Give me a break."

Stan's MCU cameos have become increasingly self aware, and his appearance in The Avengers is almost perfect. In an unexpected and rather astute move, a number of interviews with civilians are shown after the Battle of New York.

Marvel usually shy away from showing the collateral damage of their battles, but the short montage in their first big crossover really added some weight.

One of the people interviewed is Stan Lee, who turns from his chess game and derides the idea of superheroes existing in New York as ridiculous. This is brilliant in several ways. New York has been one of the most important locations in the Marvel Universe for decades, so seeing the man behind so many of those Big Apple moments scoffing at the idea is hilarious.
