MCU Fantastic Four: 10 Actors Who Could Play Reed Richards

5. John Krasinski

John Krasinski’s position on this list may come as a surprise to many, considering his portrayal of the Marvel mainstay within Multiverse of Madness, albeit receiving a mixed response. Although he may appear the bookies’ favourite to reprise the role, the former Dunder Mifflin fan favourite’s outing as the supposed ‘Smartest Man Alive’ is by no means a guarantee that he will return.

Back in July, the actor remained coy when asked by Jimmy Fallon regarding a potential reprisal of the character in the future. John’s comments come as no surprise due to Marvel’s strict confidentiality that fans have become accustomed to, but there is a real chance that the Tom Clancy star will be back. After all, how many can offer the studio the chance to kill two birds with one stone by both acting and directing like he can?

Krasinski holds all the cards, for sure, and his capability to be a jack of all trades proposes a possibility perhaps too good to pass up on for Feige. Regardless of the poor reception the use of his Reed received in Multiverse of Madness, it was undeniably a wholesome moment to witness the 42-year-old don the famous black and blue suit within the MCU. A second chance at Mister Fantastic could allow the Massachusetts native his chance to shine as part of the fully formed team as opposed to riding solo as he did before in a role many have campaigned for him to play for so long.
