MCU: 8 Villains Who Could Be The Next Big Bad
2. The Magus
One of the many Guardians of the Galaxy post-credit scenes confirmed that Adam Warlock will be coming to the MCU. Warlock is a hero who was vital in the fight against Thanos and The Infinity Gauntlet in the comics. With his introduction, we may also get to see his evil alter-ego; The Magus.
This villain is the literal embodiment of the evil within Adam, and would present even more of a threat than Thanos.
If the MCU follows the Infinity War comic arc (the movie is actually set to follow the Infinity Gauntlet story), once Thanos is defeated The Magus will try and secure the gauntlet for himself. The threat that this poses to the universe is so terrible that The Avengers and the rest of the Marvel superheroes are forced to team up with Thanos to fight it (Doctor Doom, Ulysses Klaw, and Galactus also assist).
This would be a testament to the power of The Magus that the so-called biggest threat in the MCU, The Mad Titan himself, would want to protect the universe. A twist such as this would be among the greatest we have seen in the MCU, and the prospect of seeing Warlock Vs The Magus is something to make any Marvel fan's mouth water.
